The Regular Season Comes To An End

Wow, this football season has gone by so fast! Yesterday was the final regular game of the season for the boys. And, as far as Bradon's game goes....this week's banner pretty much says it all!
Run!
And they did it! They brought West down & ended the season UNDEFEATED!! I was really impressed with the Coaches talks after. They couldn't have been prouder of the boys. They have continued to drive the importance of doing good in school, in the community, and staying focused, throughout the season. Their words were heartfelt in letting these boys know how proud they are of them.
Sure proud of our little (OK, not so little) man! Looking forward to seeing them continue on in the playoffs, as well as the upcoming tournament in Mesquite, NV!
Time for the traditional chant with the little Granger guys (who are just so cute!)
By the time Dylan's game came around, the rain was in full force! So, yea.....not such a great game. Now, see my son here? This was NOT due to the game itself, this is called...."Look at me dive in the puddle after the game!" :} LOL, that's our Dyl! He almost had to strip naked in the parking lot before Dad would let him in the truck1 :}
Well, either way...we're still proud of our guy & his team, as well. It's fun watching them continue to learn the game, and grow as football players. I have no doubt they will have more potential next year! :}
And, as long as we're talking about this weekend's football fun; as far as our Utes go (and thank you KSL for allowing me to borrow some pics :})...oh, it wasn't quite the butt kicking that they've been providing us with all year. Yea, it was a nail biter for sure! But, there was still some fabulous plays & plenty of things to get up & cheer for (and yell at the TV for, as well!  :}).
 Eddie Wide III stepped up & made some great plays!
Our boys continued to fight!
 And they pull off the win, 28-23!! (Whew! :}). And now that the BCS & AP Polls are out, we move on up to #6! I say that deserves a HOLLA!

Next is the BIG, much anticipated, game of the season against #4 ranked TCU. Oh, I'm so excited! (And anxious!!). It will be another full day as we go straight from Bradon's playoff game (after class of course) to that one! Better make sure I get some rest this week! :}

The Fun of Football Season Continues On.....

We have been very fortunate to have great football weather so far this season! You never know here in Utah! And this was a perfect game in that great weather....the only 2 undefeated teams left in the Juniors League, Our Granger Boys against Hillcrest. And, just as we thought, it was a tough, well fought game!
"C'mon boys..only 1 more quarter to go, you can do it!"
And we pull off the Win, 28-20! Way to go boys!! :}
Next was the Midgets turn to get a W!
Gotta luv it when they all do the Granger Chant
This past weekend we weren't as fortunate with the weather. As a matter of fact, Mother Nature didn't cooperate what-so-ever! So no, I don't have pics (I don't need help ruining my camera! :})...but, yea, let's just say it was a VERY long, cold, wet day!! But, you can't let the rain stop you either, right? :} Bradon's game started with a downpour, pretty much didn't stop until 4th Quarter. So, made for an interesting, and somewhat sloppy, game. Still got the win, so they remain as the only undefeated team in their division! One more week in the regular season to go, and playoffs here we come!! (if only it wasn't the exact same day as the big Utes game of the year against TCU! Hope they play early!! :}). The Midgets.....well, yea, just a miserable day for everyone to be outside at all. They were not so lucky! And unfortunately an injury delayed their game another 40 or so minutes (didn't help the whole....need to get to the Utes game thing!). And the kid is OK, appears concussion! :( The poor boys were just soaked from being out in it all day....but, again, you CAN'T miss the Utes game either!! Especially since Kaley was amongst the many cute girls on field, dancing at half time. Only problem.....Kaley's dance ticket was with someone else, of who I couldn't find due to leaving my phone in the car (on the other side of campus!). After Kaley & I walked in the pouring rain for pretty much the whole 1st half trying to find them in the tailgate lot (see why I ALWAYS need my phone!), a good man saved the day by hearing us tell our story to some friends we saw along the way...and having an extra ticket from their friend who decided not to rough it in the rain. God Bless his soul for saving the day...may good karma come his way! So, anyway, never found them until after; but, we got in (still have no idea where they were sitting), just went to the tunnel with just over 3 or so minutes left before half time. Then the rain finally stopped & the sun came out. Amazingly, despite the fiasco it took to get there, we made it....and we survived! And despite miles of walking in the rain, underneath she was dry & still had a smile on her face! :}
"Yea, I'm cute!" :}
She was excited to meet up with her newest friend that she had met during the practice.
Instantly being silly girls & squishing & pulling silly faces! :}
It was time to get on the field & let the show begin!
It was pretty cool to be right down there on the field! Can't wait to go down there again after the Utes beat TCU! :} Oh yea, I said that...and oh yea, we WILL be down there after! :}

I was so glad the rain had stopped for them! (and the rest of us!)
Some of the older girls who got to join the fun.
Great job girls, you did it!!
And great job Marching Band! :}
Hey, how about I finally watch some football now! :}

As they bring Colorado State down!
UTES!! Yea, they ROCK!
This was a cool view, once we saw a little bit of sunlight, as it was going down. But, seeing snow on the top of those mountains is not something I'm real excited about! I guess if it could just stay up there maybe! :}
Moses got to get Kaley's extra ticket this time, since she also got one with the dance company (if only we knew we were still going to need it, ha ha! No, really...glad he could go! :}) Ha Ha...it looks like the poles are coming out of their heads in this picture! :}
Dylan, still drying off & in his football uniform underneath since they ended up having to come right from his game.
Doug & Randy happy to see I finally made it to the seats  by the 3rd Quarter! :}
"Give me a U! Hey Dylan, I said....." :}
And the Utes win again.....59-6!! They are ON FIRE this year. It is a FABULOUS time to be a UTES FAN...give me a HOLLA!! :}

Happy Birthday To Me!

Another birthday came around again WAY too fast! Seriously, they need to slow down! I can't keep up with this getting older crap! :} I have to admit I wasn't as excited about this one....would have been content just skipping it really; but, unfortunately that doesn't really work, ha ha! Fortunately I have some amazing loved ones who insisted I still have a fun day! I must say, one of the best things about parenthood, is the kind of love you get from your kids. Nothing beats that...it's the best gift I could ever ask for! Kaley decorated her board here with a picture of her & I having fun together. She wrapped her gift all by herself & was so excited for me to open it!
This gift included her school projects, that she wanted to give to me. Of which she made me the folder here to put it in. Too cute!
This was the story she made talking about flowers.
Peace & Love, and Happy Smiley Faces...what else could you ask for?! :}
Her paper doll was another project she included that talked about how she loved to help Mom clean (Ha Ha...yes, unless it's her room we are talking about! :})
"Thanks Kay Kay...you're the BEST!!" :}
We then had date night with some friends at Joe's Crabshack, followed by some dancing at the club. That really is a fun little place, we were entertained for sure!
 Thanks for joining us Tina & Dennis! (and Deanna & Dick...sorry, I was off camera duty myself, otherwise, I would have gotten a pic of you too! :})
They certainly know how to have a little fun with you on your birthday there!
 Good thing I'm not shy!
"Shake It, Shake It, Shake It"

Another awesome part of my day had to do with all the love I felt overall....truly the best gift you could ask for! Between Facebook (have I told you how much I love Facebook & all the reconnections lately?!), emails, cards in the mail, phone messages, & gifts. I was truly amazed by all the people who took that moment of thier time to give me well wishes, it really meant a lot to me! Not to be like "Oh, look at me with all my friends"...it's not that. But, to literally have over 200 messages really makes me feel blessed! Especially when it's been a pretty depressing year over all, to be honest...it always helps to be reminded that there are people out there who love & care for you!! And to come all the way from Australia, and from the East to West Coast, and all over the country; to friends I have reunited with again that I never thought I may see again; to the fun people I work with...just incredibly awesome! I realize it's easier these days with technology to get out a quick wish (verses the effort of buying & sending a card); but, sill means a lot regardless of the ease of it or not.

OK, it was a fun birthday after all. There was no need to be a sour puss & try to ignore it! Thanks to ALL of you out there who made it a special day! :}
