Utes Season Hits a Road Bump

As you've all ready heard me talk about, we were super excited for the game of the season, Our #5 Ranked Utes against #3 Ranked TCU! We just never seem to get much credit, so we had something to prove!
This was the Black Out/Camo game. The Camo was added in honor of our Military, as we were approaching Veteran's Day.
It was cool seeing all the black in the stadium!
Here come our Utes!!
I loved the Jersey's showing the pride in our Troops!
Let the game begin!
...and instantly, TCU takes charge! :(
My favorite current player to watch, Shaky Smithson
Still early...our boys trying to stay pumped up, despite TCU playing stronger at the moment!
And this is pretty much how the rest of the game went....
So, yea...it went from a thrilling day to a sad day as we ended up getting cremated, with a final score of 47-7, dropping us down to #15 in the Polls, and not proving what I hoped we could. I know our Ute's have got it. They just didn't bring it on the most important game of the season! What can you do...still just a game I know (though, still trying to get over it! :})

The next week they had some redemption to do against Notre Dame! We were expected to win this game, and win big (so we thought!)
Notre Dame ended up playing better than they had all year. Needless to say, the redemption wasn't happening in this game!
Kyle Whittingham seems to be at a loss for words (as were the rest of us!). We started the season so strong, just dominating the field. I don't know what happened to our Utes; but, they were not the same team we have seen this year, that's for sure!
We take our 2nd Loss of the season, with a final score of 28-3. And we moved down the ranks quite a bit again, moving to #23 (which I realize is still good overall; but, still...)
As I said last week, "Just like your loved ones...sometimes they disappoint you, and you don't always agree with their actions. You want to yell & scream at them and wonder what the heck they're thinking (or doing!); but, regardless, you still love them & will always be there to support them!" I'm not giving up on our team.  I will always be a True Red Fan. I just hope they wake up real soon here is all!! :}

The Football Championships

With having an undefeated season, the Juniors were excited to get to the Playoffs & see if they could keep up the momentum! It helps to have cute cheerleaders! :}

(We were a little extra pumped up this morning, as the game was just before the much anticipated Utes/TCU game to follow!)
Eddie was also pumped up, as he got to take Kaley's ticket & go with us to the game!
OK, first things first....C'mon Boys, just do your thing, you can do it!
They were playing solid! Our boys were knocking them down (and too much actually, as they kept delaying the game with injuries! Geez, didn't they understand we were trying to hurry it up! Ha Ha :})
It's hard to believe his Little League Football Days are coming to and end all ready!
Meanwhile, Ms. Kaley was busy at her art work & insisted I take a picture of her cute drawings! :} (she has this thing about the hair over the eye thing with girls, it's too funny!)
Mama was also very excited for the next game too!! :} (Oops, I didn't realize I broke the "rule" on how to properly display the "U", verses "The Miami Way"...whatever, you all know what I meant! :})
I loved having my cute Niece, Sister & Mom, there to cheer them on!
...as well as the Moulton Clan!
Eddie's cute little girl (yea, she's a fan too! :})

And one of his sons (they've got a whole team...8 total!)
Not sure how his wife, Solange, does it! (and she always seems so calm & laid back even!)
Fortunately I had a banner left that never got used at Dylan's game, due to the downpour of rain! :}
Halftime...so far, so good!
Sure proud of our guy!
...and of Coach Doug too! :}
And they win 36-12! Good job Boys!!
Next was the Championship Game against Hillcrest, who played a tough game during the season!
It's close; but, we're ahead & that much closer to being the champions. Hang in there guys!!
The fans were out to help rally them into the second half!
 "Let's Get 'Er Done!!" :}
Dennis & Dylan happy to help with the flags.
THEY DID IT! THEY WIN 39-25!!!
Moses, Bradon & Jose....proud of these boys, who we've watched grow into little men over the years!
Getting the Congrats Speeches from the Coaches. They should be very proud of their Perfect Season!
Doug's turn (which made me a proud wife & reminded me of what a great Dad he is to our kids!)
It was good to also hear from the Granger High School Coach. He had some great words for these boys! It was exciting to know they are entering this new phase in their life; and, in addition, they will be getting a whole new school & stadium next year!
Eddie & Solange, with thier son, Matias
The Granger Juniors....Our 2010 Champions!
That's right, we ARE #1!! :}
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF YOU...JOB WELL DONE!!
