One Year Later....

Hard to believe it's already been a year since Dad passed away! Can't say it's getting any easier. Not a day goes by that I don't think of him, and miss his talks & sense of humor! The family joined together tonight at the cemetery to enjoy family time together & have a little picnic, just like Dad would love us to do! (OK, some may find it odd to have a "picnic" at the cemetery; but, why not?! :}). Glenn made it extra special by putting out a few things  in his honor. I loved the Marine flag holder he found! And he found a box of memories, that Mom had given him on their 30th Anniversary. It was full of papers with different memories over the years. What a great gift, as the memories are what keep us going! We enjoyed Mom telling us these stories, some I hadn't heard before, or others that brought a big smile to my face. As hard as it is to always be reminded he's no longer here with us, how much we treasure our wonderful memories together!!
Pops...I hope you're resting in peace, you worked hard for all this much needed rest you know!!!! :}

2012 Summer Parades

The other fun Annual event with Dance is the Parades. And, it gives us more time with the Dance Family, so....we'll take it!! :} First, the Westfest....
They will always have a fun time together!
Our little girls are growing up! :(

We decided we are going to officially adopt Katie...she's such a great big sister to Kaley! I hope her parents don't mind! :}
The kids keeping us entertained before the parade started. Go Dylan...show us your dance moves! :}
The Queen Bee...she works SO hard for these kids!!

Terry getting the little guys pumped up to dance in the streets!
"This is how you do it!"
"Oh...like this?!" :}

The crowd was keeping them busy!
He even got some other boys in the crowd to show us what they've got! :}
...or got them to help him, which they loved too! :}
The little ones weren't sure how much they liked being in the HOT sun! But, troopers just the same!
Now that takes some strength!
Shogun was non-stop!
Bangkok was non-stop himself!
As Dylan (Flex, sorry) is about to flip over B-Boy Byson
That has to hurt at least a little!
Plugging along....
Marli doing some cartwheels down the street
Cute Lil' Kaitlin in the crowd (who has been Dylan's classmate since the beginning)
Kaley showing us her walkovers she can do now
And now that we're done, time to walk back & join the friends in the crowd, as we watch the rest
"Sisters" (well, she is adopted now, remember?! :})
And now the season is officially over. Just another 6 weeks or so & we begin our 7th Year at Dance Biz. Can't think of a better Dance Family to have! :}
