We've been trying to make some extra effort in spending time at Grandma's more lately. Mom has her hands full in taking care of her..it's a 24/7 job! But., she's doing fabulous & we are so grateful she can. It's hard to watch her frail into her current state. She is 95 after all & we feel fortunate to have had her this long. But, we also know her days are limited. Not that it should take knowing that to think we need to be there more; but, sometimes it does do just that! And it's great to get in some game time while we're at it too! :}
And cute sibling time is always nice too! :}
Can we say 9, going on 19?! :}
And it's always nice when you happen to see another sibling while you're there (or anywhere for that matter!) too! :}
It was a great surprise to see John & Keith walk in the door this Sunday (visiting from KY for Keith's own Grandma's funeral...that part, not so great)
And Mommy will always take extra cuddle time with her girl! :}
It's been interesting watching Grandma. She'll sleep for days, you'll go in to hold her hand not knowing if it may be her last day; then, all of a sudden she's up, putting on her wrinkle cream & playing a round of Rummikub. We were glad she was awake for us this last time. She let me feed her some ice cream...she told me she could have that any time she wanted now. She said it didn't matter if it was for breakfast, or whenever. Guess she's got a point..I'm not stopping her from enjoying her ice cream! :} We're just grateful for whatever chance we get...something not to take for granted!
