B-Dog turns 15!

Our "not so little" man, Bradon, aka: B-Dog, turned 15 this week. That's just crazy! He's a great kid, we are fortunate for that! I admire his determination when it comes to working out & staying fit (he wants to be prepared for football season again!). You'll usually find him on the Bowflex, or doing 100 sit-ups, each night. Now, if only he cared about school quite as much!! :} (we're working on it!)
For his birthday, we let him go to his 1st concert with out us  (yea, I was slightly nervous all night! But, I just have to trust them, right? :}). Doug got to play chauffeur. Sounds like they had a great time! He is our fellow Rocker Boy...just like his Dad! :} So, for his actual birthday, he had his choice of dinner (good old meatloaf), while Grandma & Grandpa Leach, and Great Grandma Tate, joined us.
His family sure loves him!
"Here's a birthday kiss for you brother!" :}
HAPPY BIRTHDAY B-DOG, WE LOVE YA BUD!!

Celebration Of Love

As we look for any excuse to get together, we thought we'd share a "Celebration of Love" with some of our "Extended Family" for some Valentine's Fun. We enjoyed game night & the kids (and us) had some fun with crafts.
Of course this meant lots of silly time for the kids too! :}
These two are hilarious together...two peas on a pod! :}
That's what Valentine's Day is all about...sharing the love with those you care about!
And we freakin' love these guys!! :}

The Principal Financial Reunion Party

Sadly, my old home grounds, Principal Financial Group, is closing down their insurance side of the business. This place brings back many great memories & I am so grateful I got the chance to work there...simply for the people I've met there, some of the best friends ever! Such as Connie, Monica, Suzanne, Chris, Chautel; for some. Of course, I would have never become a part of the Fabulous Bonko Babes either, had I not worked there! It's tough to see the ones still there losing their jobs, that will fade out over the next two years. Fortunately I get the pleasure to work with a good handful still, who made the transition from Principal to Comphealth (we used to be in the same building, so people slowly merged over). Suz has done a wonderful job running the office. I know this will be hard for her! (as well as Moni & Tel, who both are hitting 20 years as well). Suzanne organized a Reunion Party for current/previous employees to celebrate together, before it all started to phase out. I got a kick out of filling out "The Memory Book", which flooded in many great memories. Of course, knowing me, I went on & on & on...4 pages later I decided that was enough. Most of them had to do with funny happenings in the mail room, when I worked in there with Connie & Monica. Like the time I accidentally knocked the mail bin over, which made a very loud noise, which was then followed by an even louder scream (my natural reaction). Ross & Kevin, 2 of the managers, came running in in a panic wondering what disastrous thing just happened. Connie & I were in tears from laughing so hard, and still laugh when it comes up. Ross said I should audition for horror movies with that scream! :} I realize it's a "had to be there" moment; but, it was a perfect example of my klutziness in action. And since I was only on my 2nd week, they were just beginning to realize what's ahead with me (ha ha). And Connie seemed to always be there when I did pull a klutzy move!

Sure glad to have these girls in my life! :}
Though I never got to work with Kathleen while I was there, glad to have her in my life too! :}
I left there in 1999 when I went over to Fidelity. It's been a long time since I've seen some of these faces!

Fortunately I still get to see some often! :}
Fellow employee, Lindsay, and her band played for us. They rocked, I was really impressed.
Tony & Katrina getting down on the dance floor
...and keeping us all entertained! :}
Oh Katrina! :}
Sure good to see many faces again after all these years! :} I wish them all the best of luck in finding new jobs...it's not an easy time for that I know!

More Special Birthday Celebrations

The birthday celebrations continue. Who says we have to stop celebrating them as we get older?! Not us! :} This time our cute Laci was turning the BIG 3-0! Connie & family were able to put together a surprise party for her while Nick took her out shopping.
SURPRISE!!
She makes for a great Birthday Princess! :}
Glad we could make the celebration, despite not feeling well
I wuv my Lil' One & Jonesy (and families)! :}
Next was another big birthday celebration for our fearless leader, Tracy. We like to tease her about her office being "the fishbowl", so how appropriate to actually make it look like one for a day! :}
She even had her own Mermaid tail
I got the fun duty of making the cake (with Kaley's help! :})
Kaley was also excited to make some fish (and mermaids to put around the windows)
Such a beautiful mermaid she is! :}
 A luncheon was in order
You can guarantee some laughs when our teams get together!
She even got a serenade from our fellow co-worker, Jon
Silly Tina, the Party Planner...good job Tina! :}

Happy Birthday Tracy-Loo!

Our Ms. Tracy had another birthday...we decided some singing at the Piano Bar was in order, which we attempted to surprise her; but, that didn't really work, so nice thought anyway! :} So, off the The Tavernacle we went!
This meant lucky us got another night out on the town
Good to have our Jazzercise student, Heather, and husband, join us too.
Always nice to be surrounded by awesome friends!
It's always entertaining at the Piano Bar!
It was the birthday girl's turn to be embarrassed & sung to
....with the help of Suzanne :}
You can't help sing along!
She kept coming up behind me & messing up my hair (which is not hard to do with my rat's nest! :})
"Lavaman" trying to capture funny moments on his phone camera :}
"
I think she's having a good time! :}
Happy Birthday Tracy-Loo...hope you had a fun one! :}
