The Granger Midgets

Though getting in their pre-season game last week, today was the official beginning. We were so proud of them, they played an excellent game & won 21-0. Way to go team!!

Current Issues I Feel The Need To Share....

I thought I'd talk about some random issues I'm having...maybe you could help me through them, or just laugh with me...whatever you need to do:

So due to my neverending allergies/sinus problems, I've been given this Sinus Rinse Kit. The dr. swears by it...so, despite the ackwardness of how to use it (yea, best done in the shower...trust me!), I'm all for whatever works! And sure enough it does, pretty great little gadget. The problem? Well, let me tell you a possible side effect. Randomly water just drips out of your nose. Not like anything you can control...when it goes, it goes like a small flowing river. Usually when I bend over to pick something up or just put my head down (sorry Sherida, I really didn't mean to get the files wet! And no, I didn't spill, it's the drainage I swear!). It doesn't happen all the time; but, still! I know it's gross...why do I share? I don't know! Guess I just have to carry around paper towels with me all the time or something!

Why is it they make these Cami's to help keep you all "tucked in"; but, they never want to stay down, so my belly is hangin' out anyway? Seriously, isn't that the reason I bought them in the first place?!

Why, no matter how hard I try, my children just don't hear me? Is it selective hearing? Am I not talking loud enough? What exactly because I SWEAR I told them more than once!!

How come everytime I bend over to pick something up I can't do it without releasing a big groan/sigh? Seriously?! :}

Yea, just had to share didn't I? :}

Have We Told You We Love You Today?!...

Just wanted to share some love and wish you all a Happy Friday!! It's been a tough week/month for many we care about.... we're so sorry to see them (you) have to go through so many trials/tribulations. May they (you) all know that we wish you all the best in what's ahead, our hearts are with you & that you all can find peace & happiness within yourselves. Know that we are there for you & love you very much...no matter what!!! Now go put on some good tunes that will help the mood & say "Everything's going to be all right!" (right now I've got the "Old Sing Alongs" Playlist on....helps the tense mood here at work too! I've just listened to 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' & 'Blowin' in the Wind'...perfect for what I'm trying to say right now! :})

More pics of my beautiful niece & Sister-In Law.....

Though still in shock that we're just finding this out...we have been so elated to here the news of our newest niece, Alexis! Sherrie did get to meet her this past weekend & couldn't say enough of how beautiful she is! Which is obvious in these pics. Oh, I just can't wait to see her in person!!
Kerri at 40 weeks...poor thing even went over 6 days! Personally, I don't know what that "last month" I hear all about is like; but, to go over has to miserable! And she was still at work even!
Her first days...that is precious!
At 4 weeks...still precious!
At 6 weeks..and yep, precious!
I am a very proud Aunt!!

What A Show!!

Last night was the big concert of the year (for me at least...one I've been patiently waiting for all summer!) Sheryl Crow, James Blunt, and Toots & The Maytals. And let me tell you...what a show they put on!! I was very surprised to see USANA not quite as full as usual. Maybe because it was a Monday night? I don't know...but, their loss for missing such an excellent performance by all! Of course, just getting the outing itself with some of my fun family & friends made it a memorable night as is! It also gave us a great excuse to celebrate a couple of birthdays....Connie's was yesterday & Sherrie's was Saturday (and Suzanne's Wednesday..sorry you had to cancel Suz, we missed you!) Happy Birthday Again Girls!! Of course the other two were great, James Blunt is awesome in his own right; but, Sheryl was who I was there to see. She is one of my favorites! You've got to love those singers who truly sing from their soul/heart, like she does. And she's such an inspiration...I just admire everything about her! Sherrie & I were very excited to get to sneak up front to watch the finale...all the way to front row! It was SOOO awesome!! She rocks!!
ROCK ON SHERYL!!
Doing the finale with Toots & The Maytel Band (who I'd never heard before...but, fun group, great sound. May have to downloads some tunes there!) Always fun to have the crowd sing along...and yes, I DO want to soak up the sun thank you! :}
The Concert Go-ers meeting up at our house...from L to R: Connie, Laci, myself, Sherrie, Colleen, Glenn & Tiff (and of course Kaley just HAD to be in the picture too!)
We're off...ready for a fun night ahead!
Glenn kind enough to join the girls just for the sake of celebrating birthdays (he loves us and he knows it! :}). I THINK I may have convinced him to be a Sheryl Crow fan now too. :}
I've told you its always guaranteed to be a night of laughs with our family together haven't I?!
Like I said..... Oh, I love this picture of Laci & Jones! ...my "other sisters"! :} (minus Lil' One...we missed her tonight too for sure!!) Tiff meets Sherrie (now she proably realizes we're all a little whacked in this family! :})
Is he actually dancing & enjoying it? Or just being silly Glenn? I think both!! :}
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLS!!

They're off!!...and, "Did He Really Do That?!"

Today's the big day...the first day of school. Hallelujah, back to a regular schedule for them! Kaley doesn't actually start until next week...so, she'll get her own special post. I had to run into the Jr. High to turn in his immunizations & oh, just scary watching all those teenagers I tell ya! And the girls checking out all the boys..."Oh look, he's cute! Look at him!". Yea, I have a feeling they're going to like Bradon too! :}...here it goes!

Now Dylan here....oh, where do we start? I'm scared every day for what may come on Dylan's list of adventures. You may notice something in this picture....we'll come back to that. I had him repeat 10 times before I dropped him off, "Stop & Think!" (the thing he usually forgets to do!) He was a little excited this morning, so I had to remind him to not be so hyper in class! Good luck Mrs. Juengel!

Now, back to that picture, here...let's get another one close up. Notice the lack of eyebrows?

I know, don't say it! His answer for everything..."I was just curious what it would look like!". Hopefully that curiosity gets him a long way when he's older & can use it to his advantage in learning & having a successful career! Yea, he decided to just shave them off. Why not? He was only about to go back to school & see his friends again! Silly Dylan.....what are we going to do with him?! I know Doug thinks I should not announce it, giving him that attention he continues to look for; but, I have to have something to use against him later in life, right?! :}

I do love my boys & hope they have a wonderful school year ahead!!

I HAVE A NEW NIECE!!

Alexis Evelyn Leach
Born: July 1, 2008
6 lbs. 11 1/2 oz.
19 3/4" long
Daughter of: Steve & Kerri Leach
I am so happy to announce the birth of my newest niece, Alexis Evelyn Leach. Oh, she is SOO beautiful! And to know the Leach name will now be carried on means a lot! It's even extra meaningful that she carries on my adorable Grandma Evelyn Leach's name. Oh, talk about cute old people....she was so awesome, truly one of the cutest & spunkiest ladies ever. I make this announcement as a surprise because we didn't even know they were having a baby! Kind of crazy; but, I guess they wanted to surprise us. It's really just put me in shock today though!! They've always had such an adventerous, carefree life...I just never knew if they really were ever going to try. I couldn't be happier for them....there's NOTHING like experiencing the Joys of Parenthood!! I just hope I actually get to meet her in person soon!
How precious!
Steve & his girl

The Leach Family at their hometown, Reno (Tahoe), NV...what a gorgeous view & beautiful family!

CONGRATULATIONS STEVE & KERRI!!!

Let the football season begin!

Though today was still a "Pre-Season" game, the football season has begun (it officially starts next week). Our Granger Midgets (that's what they call the 12 year olds) hung in there, made some great plays & are learning how to be a team together. We were very proud of our Bradon! He made a couple of great, smart plays. He's getting the hang of being quarterback we think! Once again, I forgot the camera; but, these were the best I could get from the phone. You get the point anyway! :} There will be many more games to catch!

# 2-Bradon Coleman...GO BRADON!! The game in action

Coach Duncan giving his after game spiel...they really came back in the 2nd half. I know they can do it!!
Kaley not digging the very hot afternoon! (still cute anyway! :})
This super cute tiny dog from one of the team member's families...a miniature Chihuahua. Oohh!
Doug, Greg & Dylan getting in a little throwing themselves at Halftime

The Utes games are coming up too...so the fun has just begun! We love this time of year!!

The Wake....and having a blast from the past!

So, we're at the Wake tonight for Mitch & all of a sudden, I see Jamie Larsen & some family. Jame was my little sister, Jenny's, best friend growing up. She also served at our wedding even. It's probably been about that long since I've seen her I think. Growing up, our family very much cared for the Larsen Family. Andrea, Jamie's mom, was SUCH an inspiration to me! You know when you meet those people in life who you felt just got you through it? She was one of them for sure...no judgements, nothing but just always being there for you. She was my mutual teacher in church, and managed to keep changing her position to always be our mutual teacher throughout our teenage years. Her & Ruby Roberds...two peas in a pod! She was our camp leader every year...and oh, how much fun we'd have I tell ya! Why I still love to camp I believe! So, apparently Andrea was there tonight & I unfortunately didn't see her (darn it!); but, seeing Jamie, and Mandy, brought back so many memories! I always thought it was interesting after becoming friends with Monica that their mom; brother, Mike; and Mitch all at different times lived in the trailer of the park that I practically grew up in (we were at that pool about every day in the summertime!) But, it never occured to me they were actually next door neighbors for so many years! Mandy was especially close to Mitch & it breaks my heart to know the pain they are suffering too. It's such a small world, it's just crazy! I remember Mitch talking about having such great neighbors...well of course he did! Funny how you run into people who've been a part of your life at different times like that! I'm sure Jenny will be excited to know I saw Jamie too!

As far as the Wake...I have to say, it was very nice & peaceful & I think Mitch would have really enjoyed it. It was held at the 'Stark Funeral Parlor'..this nice quaint place in the Holladay area. Very casual...they had pictures of him all around, set more as if it were his home. They did a wonderful job...it always takes special kind of people to take care of the families like that in such time of need! Still very sad about Mitch of course; but, hopefully it brought the family some comfort at this time!

Camping Weekend Part 2...

So, as I mentioned previously...many of the families were able to come up for some more camping fun. Unfortunately it was a busy weekend for many; but, we're always glad for those that can join us! How fast our families our growing..it's crazy!! The kids especially enjoy getting together..we wish we could get them together more often than we do; but, life does get busy, so we take advantage of this opportunity each year! I love it!

Aleah showing us something up the stream
Jacen with Alex & Jackson
Brett & their dog getting some play time
It was awesome to have Bubba join us too. So good to see him up & at 'em again...he's had a rough road of illness. We hear he's now eligible for the kidney transplant list...yea!
Tina & Jules
"The Dylans" (Angel & Devil Dylan...can you guess which one is which? :})
Cute lil' Alexis
Cooper
Bradon hurrying out of the water after seeing all the spiders by the tree
My crazy boys!
Doug was able to stop by on his way from a job up that way. Unfortunately it was a very busy weekend for him with work so he wasn't able to stay. He was there long enough to remind the boys about not going out into the fast flowing stream (I tried to tell them myselfs..really!)
"Oh Dad, c'mon!!"
Dylan trying to tell him why it's ok to go back in (despite all ready having a scare that morning of him getting stuck on the other side & me having to go in to save him..he forgets fast!)
Chris, MaryAnn & Suz getting more chat time
Getting in a game of cardsBradon taking his turn with the Bebe Gun (that would be Jacen's..the boys loved that!)
Then it was Dylan's turn (that's scary!) Dylan messin' with me (as usual!)
The boys sitting by the campfire
Ms. Kaley modeling her "Sweatshirt Dress"Dylan seeing how many marshmellows he can stuff in his mouth at once (I believe that was 5)
Jackson...the typical boy covered in dirt! I loved the "warrier stripes" down his eyes!
OK, this was just too cute not to catch. These two, Kaley & Cooper, were just hanging out there on the hammock for a while. I think she has a new crush!! :}
"Yea, that's right...back at ya!"
