Some of our favorite summer time activities include chillin' on the patio, and hangin' out at the pool. Though the summer flew, I'm glad we still got some of this in. And getting to share it with loved ones, is always better, right?! :}
Here's "the twins", Kaley & Bailey, enjoying play time together! (which, of course, involves at least one kind of costume change! :})
"What up Boys?" (OK, NOW I see where the boys get it from...the whole "Let me give you a serious look & do some kind of gesture with my hand when you take a picture of me" thing! :})
And it wouldn't be a picture of Glenn without some kind of face pulled either! :}
"Wuv you Chrissy Poo" :} Hey, look at us...we're like Christmas in July! :}
I tell ya, these girls are just entertaining to watch! Maddy cracks me up with her feisty personality, luv it! :}
Dylan & cousin, Taylor, together...yea, that can be dangerous! :}
Seriously, when did he grow up?!
Knuckle Heads! :}
Oh, look at our cute Toby :}
"Why am I having to wear this scarf? Huh? Why?!" :}
It doesn't always have to be our own patio. We were glad to enjoy a summer evening at Melissa & Shane's for a little variety.
Besides, you can't make mud pies at our house! :}
Thanks for having us over Mel! Love ya! :}
Great to see Amanda, and her silly guy, again! :}
"What do you call that? Dancing?!" Ha Ha.....(however she worded that...sorry for my daughter's rude behavior! :}). You know me....Dance I say, Dance!
It's funny to see these girls & think their mommies were friends at this age! :}
Somehow Dyl always gets suckered in to showing us some moves (he loves it, he knows it! :})
Another great summer activity is going to the park. You know, we used to just go to the one by home; but, got thinking, there's a lot of great parks all around us...why not switch it up & try some new ones? The funny thing about this one, Veterans Memorial Park in West Jordan, I've gone by it so many times to go to Tina's & never really knew how nice it was.
This was pretty fun...reminded me of being in the Fun House, back in the day at Lagoon :}
So, why didn't I know this was here? Always good to see our military getting honored in any way possible!
And how often do you get to sit & watch brand new baby birds wake up to the world around them, as Mama Bird keeps coming back with worms for them.
That was precious! :}
Watching kids play in the camper, also takes me back, to the many many hours we spent in Melissa's camper during the summers over the years! (which allowed for midnight toilet papering & walks to 7-11 for penny candy on a regular basis! :})
Shane finally getting to meet Steve, while we shared laughs of us girls, the obnoxious sister & friends, hanging out at Steve's old bachelor pad back as the crazy teenagers that we were.
Any time with my family is a good time!! :}
We got in a fun afternoon at the Taylorsville Pool with much of the "Extended Family"
Look at Kaley going off the high dive now...and not even scared!
Good job Kaley!!
What a stud! :}
Dylan has also got a lot more daring on the high dive now. Go Dylan! :}
Connor's turn
It was fun to have Millie's son, Duran, in town as well...glad he could join us!
And one more...Dillon's turn
Sweet little Bailey really wanted to overcome the fear & try too...we were all rooting for her!
Great Job Bailey!
Kaley can't get enough!
Also great to have Bubba join us. He continues to fight his tough medical battle, despite a few recent visits to the hospital again, and enjoys time with his friends whenever possible!
Hi Henry!
Oh, we have such a cute bunch of kids, don't we?! :}
Doug is always so good at playing with all the kids
And when exactly did Danielle grow up too?!
My Lil' Moni & her boy
Yea to sunshine & warm sunny days! :}
"Are you comfy Ms. Princess?!"
"1......2........" All righty then! :}
Watch out girls, our boys are becoming men now! :}
One more attempt at a pool day, this time to Kearns
OK, so good thing they have an inside pool since it got cold fast, and then rained on us.
They don't care, they're there to actually play in the water, not to improve the sun tan! :}
Oh, how I love Summertime! Despite all the good things of the Fall Season (like football & pretty leaves), I am without a doubt a summer girl & think I'd be OK to not have a typical Utah Winter again....pretty sure I wouldn't miss it! Utah, and all else that comes with it, sure...the cold weather, NOT!).
So, this is when you start singing "Summer Nights" from the classic, Grease! :}
