Our Baby Turns 8 Years Old!

Our sweet Lil' Boo Boo, Ms. Kaley, has had another birthday once again! 8, Going on 16, in case the pictures below don't give you any clue! No, really, we don't make her pose, this is all her! :}
We let her have a slumber party for her celebration. Fortunately girls keep themselves entertained real well, so we really didn't need to do much planning. I think they covered it all too: nails, makeup, a fashion show, games, a movie, staying up all night giggling (and pulling pranks on the 1st one asleep...sorry Bailey! :})
For some reason Dylan just couldn't leave them alone & had fun playing with (and picking on them) too! :}
It was fun to see Hailey again...Kaley & Asia have sure missed her since she moved!
You can never go wrong with anything doll or Barbie like with a little girl! :}
The older ones playing some Pictureka
...while her doll gets a makeover in her new salon chair! :}
We made it through the night (without a lot of sleep! Thank God for Daylight Savings that gave us an hour back! :}). Here they are reviewing the scores after the fashion show (oh, cute girls! :})
Then they had to play in the leaves! (what memories that brings back, thinking how we used to always make the outline of a house/rooms in Missy's back yard with all their leaves & be thoroughly entertained all day! :})
Happy Birthday to Bailey this week too! I love that these two (who are practically like sisters/twins) are only 9 days apart!
Apparently she's not as happy at the moment (I'm sure the lack of sleep was kicking in about now!); but, Maddy's always got a cute pose for us! :}
Speaking of that Lil' Devil....here's where we found her after looking for a little while! :} Why does seeing her behind the wheel like that scare me so much?! :}
It's official....she's 8 now! (why does that seem so much bigger?!)
We enjoyed her birthday night spending time with Grandma & Grandpa Leach, while we made dinner &  cupcakes, while we listened to fun stories from Grandpa.
About falling off her chair from laughing so hard (and I don't even remember why!)
Happy Birthday Sweet Angel of ours....you are truly the sunshine in our lives!!

Precious Moments

I just had to share one of those precious parental moments this morning. So, I come downstairs, getting ready to go, and this is on the counter.....
The funny thing is I thought she made it for herself, and I tried to explain she couldn't take that to school for lunch, since she needed a microwave. She simply told me to read it & then said "I knew you wanted something healthy!" :} It's the simple things like this that sure make you a proud parent!
Thought I'd take a picture of the 2 Divas this morning
 And, I can't believe I forgot this when posting my special birthday gift from Kaley. But, since I just found it in the stack of papers last night, I just had to post this too. Seriously, she is just a loveable gal!! :}
This is the backside, which apparently got cut off when she made the heart; but, something about someone's birthday like God's, you must "selabrat"! Too cute!! :}

Halloween Fun

 Halloween came around once again (and way too fast, since this was the 1st year I didn't even get all the decorations up, like I usually do! :( ). I have to enjoy the thrill of  all the "Fun Kid's Holiday Activities" through Kaley now, as the boys are getting too old for all that (though apparently not to trick or treat! Yea, it's a debate here...how old is too old?) Anyway, poor Bradon has unfortunately come down with the flu today, so he hasn't had a great holiday himself. Kaley, however, has enjoyed going through the costume box tonight!
 Our Funky Groovy Child
 So, this was her actual costume this year. She decided she wanted to be SpongeBob Squarepants, her favorite cartoon character. Made for an easy costume...I'm all for that! :}
Our sweet neighbor, Nicole, so kindly took her to the Annual School Halloween Carnival this year, until I could get there. To be honest, it was nice to not have to work it this year; though, oddly, I felt guilty for seeing everyone else work so hard & know I wasn't. (I know, silly me...I shouldn't feel like I can do everything all the time! :})
Her & Asia being their silly selves
 With so much else going on, we missed the other Halloween Parties unfortunately; but, luckily we got to at least go to Laci & Nick's (and Connie's :}) Annual Bash. Since we had just come from the Utes game....well, hey, how about we be Utes Fans?! :} (OK, not so original; but, it worked...no time for a costume!)
 The beautiful Hostesses
 Great to see Brian (Mr. Moo Moo there) again. And Heidi & Tony as well. Oh Tony (aks: Wonder Woman)...too funny & scary! :}
So Nick & Bubba decided to have some fun with the whole "Jersey Shore" thing. Here's Bubba as "The Situation"
And Nick as Snooki! :}
Oh Nick, you're so sexy! :}
Laci & friend, Kat, as Mrs. Clause
(with our big storm last week, you'd think it was Christmas all ready!)
It's always fun to see people have fun with their costumes..there's always some great ones!
I liked Crystal & Lance's Shrek Costumes too!
Brother & Sister, for special! :}
So, are we really entering the holidays now? Wow....serious? I mean, I love the Holidays & all; but, ALL READY?! All righty then, I guess...here we go! :}
