Family Time...just can't get enough!

I love how much my family gets together! We will always take whatever we can get! And, as we see the recent U of U Graduate (Go Utes!! :}) head off to her new adventures in Las Vegas, we needed to sneak in another one! I'm not sure why I was being lazy with the camera this night; but, it was still good to see all my cute nieces & nephews (and of course those cute siblings, cute Mom, and our cute Grandma too...hey, looks who's up & bright eyed again tonight! :}).

 ...and Congrats to Brittani, too, who is also a recent graduate of Nursing School. Brit, we are so very proud of you & how far you've come! Way to go!! 

Then this morning we got to sneak in a little time with Dad's side of the family. We have always enjoyed the annual visit by  his cousin, Ruth. She will always be remembered as the one with all the Christmas Villages! It used to be her visiting from California; but, now it's from St. George (hey, we know that place! :}). We'll have to go down there during the holidays to see them, so I can see the display again (I'll never forget seeing it one Christmas in California when I was 9 years old....seriously, it's amazing! I think they start in June!

I know this annual visit will allow us to see some of the others we only get the chance to see once a year usually. Like Uncle Bob's Family...Ginny, Janet & Van and Sharon, Merrill & Tyler. I remember many picnics with these guys in Uncle Bob's backyard! And they are who taught us the fun of cross country skiing.   

Donna & Jack are also part of those memories. Oh how my Dad sure loved his family!! 

And how nice that Aunt Toots decided to take the train ride out last minute too!  

 Fortunately, I get to see these two more often! :}

 Whether you get to see them often, or once a year....take what you can get! Your Family is all part of  "Your own personal story"...Enjoy your time with them!

I was just thinkin'........

Despite the bills to be paid, and budget to be figured out once again, I thought to myself, "Self, you seem to have a lot on your mind...why don't you just let it out & then you can focus!" Well, alrighty then! Here's the randoms thoughts in my head at the moment.....

• Now that I'm finally at my desk, already 9:00...what playlist do I need to listen to right now? Bills can be very stressful.....something calming? Usually a good idea :}
• Hummm.....chocolate sure sounds good!
• Why can't I simply run a base without hurting anymore? :} 
• Where is the Icy Hot?
• How come I couldn't hit tonight? Hate it when they pitch those darn knuckle balls or spinners...geez! C'mon guys...quit showing off, just throw the ball! :}
• Has it REALLY been 25 years since I graduated? Really?!!!
• Have we REALLY been married for 20 years in just 2 weeks?!! Again...Really?!
• How the heck did I get this old already?!!
• I'm thinking all of a sudden the 80's playlist sounds good...little Yaz, REM, Peter Gabriel, etc.
• Why was that moment in 'Say Anything', while John Cusack held the boombox on his shoulder pleading his love, such a magical moment?!
• Yep, I'm gettin' old! :}
• Oh, so we're now a month away from what would be the 16th Annual Coleman Five 4th of July Party. How the heck are we going to pull it off this year?
• I wonder if we will be able to pull off a few days down south to celebrate our Anniversary?
• Why must times be so tough?!!
• It will get better, right?!
• Why do I complain or get depressed when I know how great life is?
• I really need to get working on the project I started, that I only have 2 weeks to finish now. If only I had some free time! :}
• If I had to slow down, what would I give up? Pretty sure there's nothing I want to give up in my life....including that darn chocolate!
• Why the heck can I not find anything in Kaley's room?
• Why does she have so much crap in there? 
• How come there's no chocolate in the house?!
• Why can't we all just get along? Seems simple enough doesn't it?! 
• How come there's so much "separation" lately? Whether it be religion, politics, race, sexual orientation, which way the toilet paper goes (which is up & over...don't even tell me otherwise! :}), whatever.....why? There's no reason for all that nonsense! Let's just all get along! :}
• When is our work going to slow down? When exactly can I exhale? 
• I sure do love where I work....there's some fabulous co-workers among me! :}
• I really better go in early tomorrow...there's still SOO much to do this week!
• Why am I thinking about work at home?
• Why can't I just shut my brain off?
• I really want to watch last night's episode of 'So You Think You Can Dance' again...that was freakin' amazing! There is some serious talent goin' on! 
• I sure love my family!
• Alright, I better get to it!

Wedding Shower Fun

Let me tell ya....when you hit the stage where your good friends KIDS are getting married, and having babies, and all that fun young stuff, you think to yourself, "How the heck did that happen already?!" :} Regardless it's exciting just the same! And I love being able to share in the fun! We are very happy for Shae, and Tina's son, Josh, to tie the knot soon! 

Happy to have her family up for wedding fun!

Getting to finally see the new baby, Patience. She is a miracle & a fighter!
And such a happy baby too! :} (well, at least she was for us! :})

A Beautiful Day For A Hike...

When we did this hike as a family last year to Stewart Falls, up Provo Canyon, it instantly became one of my favorites. It is gorgeous country!

 So when looking for a fun family activity to do with our friends, we decided to take the little drive that way 

It was a beautiful day for a hike!

I was thrilled that Chautel & Larry drove up from Payson to join us! :}

We can see the waterfalls....we're almost there!

Since this is the backside of Sundance, we were wondering if this could be Robert Redford's house? If not, we'll just pretend! :}

This crazy kid was ALL over the mountain! (and flexing his muscles while he was at it! :})

 It was great to see Chautel's kids again!

You'd think Bradon & Andy were brothers!

They just had to go explore! (nevermind the fear of the fallen hiker here just the day before! Of course, that was off the steep wet rocks...so, they knew if they came close, they were going to get a lot of grief from Mama! :})

The kids always enjoy getting together whenever possible! :}

I'm so glad Maryann is back in Salt Lake & was able to join us. We love our Mary & have missed her! :}
