Easter Fun

You've got to love the random things kids do that just make you smile! While shopping for Easter clothes, Kaley & Dylan were having fun at Kohl's pretending to be manikins.....they would be cute models after all! :}
Dylan was freaking some people out when they'd go by too...it was pretty funny! :}
You've got to color eggs, right?!
A cute moment...she woke up bright & early to get her basket, then right back to bed (well, her brother's bed). No need to go through it really, as long as the Bunny came! :}
Our precious little girl finding the eggs
You've got to love sharing the holidays with little kids whenever possible! (especially when they're your own! :})
We then got to have another afternoon with Laurie & girls while they were still here. Sherrie so kindly offered up her place & we had a great festive dinner!
It was so fun fun to have them there for the holiday too!
Have I told you I luv my sis? :}
Dylan loves to play with Haiden. He is one darn cute lil' guy! (well, they both are actually! :})
So glad Dad could be with us after having been in the hospital once again all week. Just not his year! Fortunately he was released Sat. night & is doing much better now! He's given us a few worries lately...it's hard to see your loved ones have to suffer at all! And we're certainly not done with him yet...we have many more memories we've still got to create!
Doug worked hard on making the perfect smoked ham. I must say he did a great job! See, the two experts both agree!
Kaley is sitting with me here and says about these pictures..."I love Aunt Laurie & her daughters! I sure do miss them all ready!" (she did make quite a tearful goodbye...took about 2 hours to finally stop!) She's a precious girl. She really does have all this love to give! ;}
You have to wonder why she always wants her picture taken (ha ha...could it be because I always just have the camera there waiting for her next cute moment). She loves to play with people's hair! She was obviously entertained here while brushing Anji's hair!
Where there are boys, there is usually a football! (at least there is with ours!) It was a perfect day to be outside playing. She has quite the scenery from her place!
Fun to see Alexis again, who has managed to grow up all of a sudden!!
I luv my man! :}
Cute girls!
It was also great to see cousins, Phillip & Peggy. Poor Phillip has had his own tough medical battle this year. He's making such a quick recovery, so glad to see him doing better!
We were getting a kick out of watching Glenn's pics through her TV. You think I take a lot of pictures? You have no idea!! But, don't get me wrong, that's a good thing! :}
The girls had fun bonding with Nikketta (Laurie's good friend, Star's, daughter). She's always treated her kids like her own, they love her too!
Laurie & Peggy grew up together..they were both excited to see each other!
I'm pretty sure I have the cutest nieces ever! :}
Another fun holiday to put in the books. Once again, another event that makes me appreciate the family that I have!!

Road trip to Moab

Laurie was fortunate to extend her trip to 2 weeks, so she got in as much as she could while she was here. The girls definitely got their share of Utah in from the snowy mountains, down to Moab, to St. George/Mesquite, hiking Zions, and back to Salt Lake.

I luv my sistas! :}

Well, we all know Kaley loves to play with your hair. Good thing Sherrie is such a good sport! :} (and it tops this picture off with that look too..ha ha :})
Had to get some breakfast in before we hit the road!

We made it to Moab & were starving my this point...ready for a Mexican Fiesta! Here's Doug getting some bonding time in with Judy (he's such a good man! :})

Despite the fact the water was freezing, we just had to get in a river run while we were there! Of course Kaley is right by Jessica's side! :}
Laurie & her girls getting in all the adventure they can while they're here!
That's our Dyl..what can I say?!
Sherrie & Anjila ready to hit the raft
Glad our family could join them on this quick little road trip!
Checking out the scenery of Moab
Our tour guide who looks very much like our friend, Tony. Serious...you'd think they were twins!
Glad Brittani could join us too!
Carl, our tour guide, quickly caught on to Dylan's sense of humor. He thought he'd let him attempt to row for a bit..oh, not so easy is it Dyl? :}
Well, then Doug had to try too!
I love the red rocks of Southern Utah!
So Kaley got soaked on one of the little rapids, we hit it right on. As I said, the water was freezing...so, here's Daddy trying to warm her back up again!
She wasn't the only one who got it!
The infamous "Hole In The Rock" which used to be a diner. It has an entire home inside of it that the builder, Albert Christensen, & his wife lived in until they passed away. Pretty amazing to think of that really...who would of thought? (well, besides Albert)
FDR was the president who declared the Arches a National Park, so Albert, who also liked to do paintings & sculptures, dedicated this tribute to him.
The couple is even buried here at the rock
There's all kinds of funky gadgets on the site, a collection of odd things. I must say this jeep is pretty cool. Take a good look...it's all made of miscellaneous metal parts welded together, Along with all the license plates as the body.
Then it was time for lunch at Zax's
We couldn't leave without doing a little birthday celebration for Dylan who turned 11 the next day! (and yes, he meant to smear chocolate frosting all over his lips...again, that's our Dyl!)
We couldn't leave Moab without checking out The Arches! Here are the "Three Gossips"
The girls were enjoying the scenery & exploring the land!
They say the Three Gossips could tell you the secrets of the land (and one could only imagine all the stories they could tell!)
"Balanced Rock". Amazing it doesn't just fall. Some day I guess it may.
Here we stopped at "The Windows Section"...loving the road trip with my sisters!
Laurie sure loves Dougy too! :}
The infamous "Delicate Arch", which is really amazing to think how this structure formed like it did! Makes me want to say "Giddy up Cowboy!" :}
Our family enjoying the surroundings!
That's my sis!
Life is all about what you make of it, right? It's so easy to take what we have around us for granted. This is a quick trip from Salt Lake....we need to do this more often!!
