The Juniors got to get one last final weekend of football in, to end their years of Little League Ball. We were off to Mesquite, NV for a quick get-away (and strongly hoping for some warmth!) to watch them play in a football tournament.
I had to capture the cool sunset on the way down.
Yea, you boys are BAD! :}
Precious Moments Bear was there to make sure we got there safe! :}
Jose got the pleasure of joining us for the way down.
Unfortunately that meant he had to deal with our nutty son! Here he is climbing over Doug's truck when we stopped at his office in St. George.
"Peek-A-Boo"
"Here I come sliding down from the roof!"
We made it & met up with the others the next day. Moses here always has to give you a pose...that's Moses for you! :}
The boys checking out the cool Sports Complex there
I loved how it was right against the red rocks!
Good to see Solange & Eddy there with their cute bunch!
Also fun to get a chance to hang out with old friends, Stacy & Rick, again...it's been a while!
We were thrilled that Tina & Dennis decided to join us! Dennis has been a great support to the boys football games, what great friends we have! :}
Kaley was glad to have Aleah there to be silly girls with!
I finally got the chance to meet the rest of Jose & Alex' family
Whatzup Guys?
Our Awesome Coaches
1st game was against Pine View...who, I believe, were nervous after seeing our big boys!
Tim, our league president
Moses' cute parents
And his adorable sister, Cinaily
Our main man, B-Dog
Dyl-Pickle being his cute self
Are we ready to play?!
Den's ready!
He just likes being the flag guy! :}
Game on!
Good job Dennis! :}
Emilio, one of our star players!
The girls being our cheer group!
And we win (and give them their 1st loss! :})
The Granger boys coming together to do the chant
How fun was it to run into my Aunt Julie too! Her son, my cousin, Maurie, was coaching his son's game in the tournament too. And I love that between us, we are representing "The Big Rivalry" and can still have plenty of love for each other! :}
Darn it, I was having camera issues again! But, still fun to see Maurie out there doing his thing! They live here in Mesquite & we planned to see them. We just didn't realize he was playing in the same tournament.
Also great to see his cute wife, Christy
Kaley couldn't stop playing with Diamond all weekend!
There was a few Granger teams down there for the tournament, we had to have some photo moments with them all
And of course some silly moments! :}
With 2 picks in the game, our boy worked hard! Sister was sure to take care of him after!
"Oh, these muscles are tight!" :}
Despite the fact it really wasn't exactly hot, it was warmer than home & it didn't stop them from getting in some pool time!
The best was Doug determined to get Toni in!
And with some help....
...I think he's going in! :}
Then it was time for some adult fun!
Oh, isn't that cute?! :}
We met up with many of the others hanging out in the lot (for some of us who didn't have money to blow in the casinos! :})
I just want to point out....it is normally hard to get Rick to smile for a picture! :}
"Wait, who's this dude from American Fork?!" :}
The kids had plenty of fun in the Arcade
OK, we did too! :}
Nothing like seeing the sweet side of your kids, like when Dylan used all his tickets to get some prizes for Kaley here. That was precious! :}
The boys off to the field again. Unfortunately the other team we were supposed to play, Las Vegas, didn't end up showing up to the tournament, so we didn't get to play the 2nd Game. We headed back for them to get the trophy & celebrate a PERFECT SEASON!
Oh, looks like someones birthday...have to go through the line!
Happy Birthday Matias!
G-HOUSE!
What a cute Daddy! :}
And the Champs are....GRANGER!
Now that's a trophy!
Proud Moments!
Everyone getting in on the prizes in between.
Doug had to knock a few kids over to get this T-Shirt! :}
Oh look, it fits too! :}
Another Granger team also takes their own 1st place trophy home
A little more posing with that huge trophy. There's my boys! :}
Since the Vegas team backed out, they refunded some of our money & they decided to take the boys bowling.
Erkle! :}
We also got to watch the Utes beat San Diego State while they bowled.
Yeah for our Utes! :]
We wanted to be sure to spend some quality time with Aunt Julie & Uncle Delos before we headed back out of town. Delos has had a rough year fighting cancer. He's a stubborn one...so, it's not going to get him that easy!! :}
Growing up., these two allowed us Leach Kids (and even some of our friends) to spend many summers at their farm in Idaho! Great memories for sure!
Dylan being his goofy self, saying he wants to jump from the balcony & see if he can land on his 2 feet!
And how lucky that Grandma Tate just happened to be there too! (she had just gotten in the night before, to spend Thanksgiving with them this year). Seriously, she's such a cute Grandma! :}
