Life Is Good..Part III

As promised, I want to periodically come back to stop & think...why is life good?! I want to know your reason....give me a quick reply, I'd love to hear it! Let me give you mine today.......

We'll start with Friday. Nothing in particular, we were just running errands, getting quick visits with some good friends along the way, Doug & I having great conversations inbetween too....we had some more family game time; Kaley got to have a sleepover with her friend, Aleaha; we watched a movie; just enjoyed being together...that's always good! We woke up to a beautiful sunny day to start out with some football. Though the game was a bit rough...still a good learning lesson for the boys, and a fun way to start the day! Then later on was the long awaited Season Home Opener at Rice Eccles Stadium to watch our UTES crush UNLV!! (we had some serious payback to do for last year's beating we got!) It was sooo much fun, great energy in the air!! (we'll talk more on that). Meanwhile, Uncle Glenn so kindly watched the younger ones for us, which then allowed my brother & I to have a great conversation into the night...just another reminder of how lucky I am to have the family that I do! I get to sleep in until 10-love Sunday mornings! I wake up to breakfast in bed (man I got a good husband!) & get to casually go into my Sunday afternoon without feeling overwhelmed with a million things to do (ok, so I do have the PTA tax form to do still & we won't mention the stack of mail/papers/reciepts and mountains of laundry to go through; but, taking deep breaths & not stressing about it is the difference! :}). Doug gets in a day of golf, and we will get to see our family once again this evening to celebrate cousin Phillip's birthday. Plus, the new season of great TV shows starts this week (can't wait for The Office in particular...love that show!)........

Proud of our boy...and hey, at least they got the right colors!! :}

Let's Do It Granger!

The boys in action

Half time allows for us to throw some football ourselves

The coaches trying to wake these boys up!

The girls being silly!
We have finally got persmission to put decals on the helmets, so Bradon came up with the design, Doug got them printed up at work & they work together to dress up the helmets (see, simple Daddy & son time that does mean a lot!). The team will be excited for thier new look!

Soooooo....why is life good? Because we're surrounded by love & some amazing relationships, that's why!! We hope you're also enjoying, and appreciating, the ones you are surrounded by too!!

The Wittenbrook Wedding

INTRODUCING MR. & MRS. DENNIS WITTENBROOK
Maya made such a stunningly beautiful bride!

They did it...it's official!

Family & Friends from all over the country/world! (which was awesome to see people from all over being reunited like that!

As I mentioned, we also got to attend the wedding of our friends this weekend. Dennis & Maya are now husband & wife!! (Hey guys, you getting used to the sound of that yet? :}). She made an absolutely gorgeous bride...as you can see from above! And the ring...Wow, Dennis, you did GREAT! I've never seen a ring like that, amazing! It was a perfect setting up at Alta's Rustler Lodge...great atmosphere, beautiful view...I don't think they could have asked for more! It was so awesome to see much of the old Fidelity gang again. Many of them have moved off, some I just haven't seen since I left Fidelity, and of course it's always fun to hang with our softball team buddies that were there too! I was unfortunately having camera issues myself so I only got a few; but, I stole (or borrowed :}) the ones above that they sent us (hope that's ok guys....love the pics! :}). Sadly, the only bummer of the night for us, was that we missed the ceremony itself (so glad I got to see the pics then :})...that part was due to Bradon's game going so late...kid's first, what can you do?!)...we're sorry guys, heard it was just as beautiful as the rest of the night! :}

Absolutely gorgeous I tell you!

So cute....look how they're looking at each other! :}

You did it Dennis! :}

Good Friend, Melissa, & Sarah, that I also worked with

Great to see Mikey, Michelle & Gabe again too! All the way from New Hampshire to New Mexico now!

Ty & Katie were fun to hang out with tonight! He's a dancing maniac..loved it! :}

Clint, Kristy, Megan & Jimmy....all softball friends (and Fidelity peeps too)

Always fun to see Jason. Him & Sheila were also having fun out on the dance floor! I particularly liked her Kareoke of Madonna's 'Holiday' :} (no really, loved it! :})

More of the old crew...now there's trouble! (just kiddin' guys! :})

Doug & Clint getting a kick out of the toast from his brother

The new couple gets to mingle

Dennis & Maya....we truly are happy for you & wish you all the best in you new life together! CONGRATULATIONS!!

Our Baby Starts Kindergarten!

Wow, is she really old enough to be in Kindergarten now?! Talk about time flying by fast! She was so excited & anxious to go see her friends from preschool! Sure it's hard to see your baby go off; but, I was ok with it...didn't bawl my eyes out like many moms there. She's ready & I know she's in good hands with Mrs. Brievik, who was also Bradon & Dylan's teacher too!

Our Labor Day Weekend

Oh, what a fun weekend...good way to end the summer! But, really...has summer all ready come to an end?! That went crazy fast! The weekend involved lots of fun & silly times with the friends, plenty of game time, some great football (as mentioned earlier), we got our dancing fix in, and good family time too. I'll talk more about the beautiful wedding we attended in it's own blog; but, we also enjoyed having the "2nd family" over for some relaxing down time. There's something to be said about the ones you can just enjoy kicking back & playing games with! (even the competitive ones....cough cough, Nick! :}) We started with hanging out on the patio, doing some BBQ, until the crazy storm hit us. And did it hit hard! Of course nothing like New Orleans or anything; but, it was a dumper for sure! We actually enjoyed sitting on the covered patio & watching the lightening later too (can I just say I am NOT ready for it to be cold again all ready though!!). Another one to mark in the book of memories! :}

The "Three Sisters"....love you girls!

Glad Moni & Family could join us!

Hi Laci! :}

Hank being a good sport in playing Shrek for Henry

This was Nick trying to show us his new dance move

Bradon showing Henry a few football tricks

Little buddies, Kaley & Henry

Time for a round of Yahtzee

And some more laughs...

Wuv ya Jonesy!

My cute & crazy boys....

Was Toby playing football too?

Then Kaley & Dylan decided it was time for a Dance Off!!

Which even involved a little bit of 'The Worm'"Oh yea, I'm good, I am the winner!"

Nick & Laci showing the kids how to do the wave

Laci & I had to show off a little of our own dance moves! Kaley having to take time to brush everyone's hair (of course!). Good thing Connie was such a good sport!

The infamous pictures of all of us together on our stairs (just wish we did it while Moni was still there!)

Oh, that's precious!

Besides fun with the friends, we also got to see my adorable little great nephew, Haiden, while we helped Brittani & Ryan move. He's such a ham...just love this little kid!" Clap for us Haiden!" :}
