(Continued.....) The next night was time to ROCK OUT! And rock out we did! Our little family are all big fans of Nickelback! (guess it's in the blood or something :}). Poor Dyl probably wanted to go more than anyone; but, he had a football scrimmage he couldn't miss. As I explained, that's just a lesson in life...sometime you do what you have to do, not what you want to do. Life goes on...you'll catch the next one! :} So, Bradon fortunately got to take a friend instead. Despite all the other friends of ours that would have liked the ticket, it seemed only fair he had someone to hang with! Sometimes we're nice parents like that! :} He got to take his best buddy, Connor, who is also a big fan & had never been to a concert before. Despite possibly being in a bit of culture shock, I know they had a great time! :} It's all good, they're good little men who can handle it!
We missed the 1st of 4 bands, Saving Abel. But, got there in time to catch Papa Roach
We got to meet up with friends like Sandra, Jerry & her son, James (Happy Birthday James! :})
And even her nephew, Austin (and his cute wife), who we used to babysit when he was a little guy! That was fun to see him again!
Next up was Hinder. Yea, they rock too! :}
Rockin' on as the sun goes down! You've got to love the whole atmosphere of Usana & an open air concert! It's a great set up! "Ummmm, food!" (they are at that age where they can always eat at any given moment!)
Then it was time for Nickelback....WHOO HOO!! (that was me reliving the moment they came out, ha ha :})
"If Everyone Cared....."
(OK, I realize they also have their typical rock n' roll music; but, I love that they also have songs with insightful words, like this & "If Today Was Your Last Day")
They showed different political activists on screen who are doing their part to make the world a better place, like U2;s Bono & NelsonMandela. It was awesome! Really, think about....if everyone cared, the world would certainly be a better place!
Chad Kroeger also kept us entertained with talking in between. He kept the crowd involved, which made for a fun show! :}
And as you can see on the screen, the audience is having a great time!
Continuing to keep us entertained...
Oh those two little lovebirds, I tell ya! :}
Our boys enjoying the show (really, they are despite the looks on all their faces! :})
Ruby & her cute daughter (as my boys pointed out the 1st time they saw her :}), Amanda
Glad we got Stacey out & that she didn't sell her ticket like she was trying to! :}
What is it about music & concerts that is just so much fun?! I don't know; but, I like it whatever it is!! Maybe it's just because so many people can relate to any given song, or have a certain memory connected to a particular tune. Maybe it's because it brings friends & loved ones together. Or maybe it's just because it feels your soul with goodness! :} I mean, how can I live by my Motto to "Keep On Dancin'" without it?! :}
