2010 Race For The Cure

Once again, it was time for the Annual "Race For The Cure", an event we look forward to participating in each year! Though how sad it is to see so many affected by the disease, it just feels good to do our small part, as I know every little bit helps! These days, it's almost like, if you don't have it yourself, you know someone who does. Some are lucky to get through it, like our friend Natalie Avery, who we made our Honoree last year. So far, so good...and we are so glad to know that! I can only imagine how hard this past year has been for her! I'm glad we do this as a family too, I believe it's so important to teach your kids the importance of helping out charities & getting involved in your community. It was estimated to have nearly 17,000 people there this year, which is more than double from the 1st year we joined...that's awesome!
The kids are in good spirits, ready for their long walk/run!

(no really, they are! :}) Tina was so kind to walk with the girls, and Dylan, while the rest of our family decided to run it this year. And glad to see our fellow Bonko Babe, Megan, participating this year too!
....and her friend Gina here. Glad they all made it after another crazy & late Bonko night! :}
It was so nice to see some of my previous morning class students...I miss them tons!! Here is Kimia, Diane & Randi
And always good to see fellow Jazzerciser, Shelli, and Family
...as well as Maryanne & kids. Hey wait, where's Krista?!
We're ready to get moving!
Kaley had the camera while we were running, hence the self poses. Silly Kaley! :}
We walked back through the route, after we got done running, to find Tina & the kids. Doug, the Stud Muffin, who did awesome by the way. I'm very proud of him! Running is not so much his thing (heck, it's barely mine!); but, we're trying to turn this new leaf over this year!
Kaley was thrilled to not have to walk ANY MORE! :}
Hey, look who we found...The Barker/Shaffer Family. And why didn't I make sure to turn the stroller around & get a shot of their cute little guy? Darn, he's such a ham too!
Miwa & Family are always so good to participate as well. We love sharing this together each year! (the race and breakfast after, that is! :})
We did it!! Another successful year at the race! Yea for us!! :}
