Dance, Dance, Dance

Continuing on with the Dance Competition season. They have a Mock Competition at the studio each year to start out, giving the girls some practice at performing in front of others. Here were the Dance Biz Soloist's & Teachers, for the year (which is, as you've all ready heard me say, a wonderful group of girls!).
The next performance on the schedule was at Taylorsville High. Do you think I can take enough pictures of Kaley? If she just wasn't so darn cute! :}
She sure loves her Ms. Ambree!
She works so hard at this move (one day she will straighten her leg :})
With me starting a new job, I struggled with how I was going to finish out the season & get her where she needed to be in time. With her being in the younger groups, this meant she always started earlier. Luckily, for the event up in Roy, Ambree so kindly picked her up from school & got her up there & ready. As you can tell by some of her pictures here, I think she had some fun with her!! :} (and Kaley now officially wants to adopt her & her mom, Ms. Diane, as her own!)
This was the same event that included our only team competition, which they performed their production routine. So it was a busy; but, fun filled weekend of plenty of dancing! This was extra special this year, as it was the idea that Cathy had put together, "The Evil Side of Disney", before she passed away.
They were extra strong thid day & did so awesome, taking 1st place! I have no doubt Cathy was watching over with pride & a huge smile! Ms. Diane couldn't have been prouder herself. It was an emotional moment as she talked to the team after!

And for her solo...she takes 1st Attendant! How about that big trophy? I loved how she immediately told Daddy he was going to have to go to Home Depot to get more shelves, and to make sure they're strong for all of them, because she's not done yet! :}
Such a poser! :}
